Where have Dan & Becks been in South Australia?

  • The Highway, Anzac Highway - funky place, cheap drinks
  • Eco Living Expo, Adelaide Showground - May 2008
  • Lakefront Bar, The Lakes Resort Hotel, West Lakes - great views, how did we not discover this place earlier?
  • Queens Head Hotel, North Adelaide - nice quaint pub, no food!
  • The Wellington Hotel, North Adelaide - amazing chicken schnitzel, nice log fire
  • A Cafe Etc, Brighton - lovely on a cold winters arvo, great cakes and hot chocolate
  • Manoli's Meze Cafe, Port Noarlunga - friendly staff, delicious pate & bruschetta!
  • Boho Bar, Unley - great decor, expensive dips!
  • Sea SA - handy ferry crossing from the Eyre to Yorke peninsula
  • Venus Bay Caravan Park, Eyre Peninsula - great location right on the water front
  • Gilles Street Market, Adelaide - the young hip crowd hang out here, nice retro clothing if you are into that scene!
  • International Rugby Sevens, Adelaide Oval
  • David Franz, Barossa Valley - awesome wines, awesome guy
  • Cathedral Hotel, North Adelaide - nice pub, newly refurbished
  • Northern Lights, North Terrace - part of the Festival of the Arts
  • Persian Garden, Adelaide - part of the Festival of the Arts
  • Lakeside Caravan Park, McLaren Vale
  • Lighthouse Deckchair Cinema, Port Adelaide

  • Melt, Hyde Park - the MOST AMAZING pizza ever! Highly recommended!
  • Largs Pier Hotel, Largs Bay - great place for lazy weekend afternoon drinks...
  • Whipped Bake Bar Cafe, Semaphore - great spot for brekkie on a Saturday morning
  • Estia, Henley Beach - Brilliant Greek restaurant, v friendly staff and tasty food
  • Star of Greece, Port Willunga - great views, beach cafe & restaurant
  • Coriole Vineyard, McLaren Vale - delicious platters for lunch, great views
  • Finn McCool's Irish Pub, Norwood - nice atmosphere, love the literary room at the back
  • Exeter Hotel, Adelaide - my first non-recommendation! Grungy, students hang out here... not us!
  • Adelaide 36ers - our basketball team! Go the 6ers!
  • The Brompton Hotel, Brompton - Becks' xmas do venue, nice place
  • Universal Wine Bar - good wine selection, relaxed vibe
  • Botanic Cafe, Adelaide - very hip, very nice
  • Blue Water Sea Kayaking - highly recommended!
  • Sailmaster Tavern, North Haven - nice food, lovely setting
  • Bay of Shoals Winery, KI - lovely setting, only KI reisling producer
  • The Rock Pool Cafe, Stokes Bay, KI - delicious seafood cones, great location
  • SA Museum, North Terrace, Adelaide
  • Tasting Australia Feast for the Senses, Elder Park, Adelaide - 13/14 October 2007
  • Aces Bar, Central Market - bustling atmosphere after work on Friday, $10 beer and oysters deal is great!
  • Wallis Picadilly Cinema, North Adelaide - went to see The December Boys
  • Mount Barker Summit, Adelaide Hills - great picnic spots, wonderful views
  • Udder Delights, Hahndorf - mmmm, nice local cheeses & olives
  • Hahndorf Inn, Adelaide Hills - in the heart of the town, great atmosphere and lots of sausage!
  • The Rising Sun, Kensington - lovely atmosphere, expensive but delicious food!
  • Exeter Hotel, Semaphore - If this place had a carpet it would be sticky. Great pub grub and beer though!
  • Grange Jetty Kiosk, Grange - more than just a kiosk! Great for sunset drinks
  • Botanic Bar, Adelaide - where the Adelaide hip crowd hang out!
  • King William Road, Hyde Park - brilliant street, we liked Tart cafe
  • Barossa Vines, Grant Burge, Barossa Valley - nice spot for lunch, especially the local vines platter
  • Wolf Blass Vineyard, Barossa Valley - huge label with stylish vineyard, gold label Cab Sav Merlot our favourite
  • Yalumba, Barossa Valley - nice vineyard, traditional shiraz nice but affordable!
  • Charles Melton Wines, Barossa Valley - quirky cellar door, lovely Rose of Virginia
  • Jacobs Creek Retreat, Barossa Valley - beautiful accommodation, highly recommended
  • Beau Thai Restaurant, Semaphore - spicy noodles & curry
  • Passatempo Cafe, Gouger Street - tasty pasta and pizza, friendly service
  • Magill Estate - very swish, stunning views, glorious food and wine
  • Chopstix on Rundle - tasty noodles, huge portions!
  • The Red Ass, Semaphore - great curry, good value
  • Scoozi Cafe, Rundle Street - nice pizza, buzzing after work crowd
  • National Wine Centre - where we studied Wine Introduction!
  • The Grange Hotel - nice
  • Harbour Town - outlet shopping centre - LOVE THIS PLACE!
  • Gold Lounge at Reading Cinemas
  • Sky City Casino - must be drunk to visit here
  • Top Food & Wine tours - we recommend Grazing on Gouger!
  • Cafe Froot, Semaphore - find us here on Saturday mornings for breakfast!
  • Evida Cafe - great sea views at Henley - we watch the storm from here!
  • Bacchus Wine Bar - great for sunsets at Henley Beach
  • Semaphore - our suburb!
  • Mount Lofty Summit - great views, really fresh air!
  • Maid & Magpie, Magill - had a great Saturday night here - WARNING, bubbly gives you a bad hangover
  • Central Market - a great place to buy ingredients for our bbq'd breakfasts!
  • Semaphore Palais - our local! Friday night happy hour should be fun!
  • The Alma, Magill Rd - funky bar meets working men's pub - great outdoor bar area
  • Caffe Buongiorno, Norwood - great breakfasts and great pizza in this authentic Italian eatery
  • The Oxford Hotel, North Adelaide - great $10 burger and beer offer, good crowd
  • Hotel Richmond, Adelaide - great bar for Friday night drinks, especially the warm Adelaide Hills Olives and Mountadam Cabernet Merlot!
  • Exeter Hotel, Semaphore - If this place had a carpet it would be sticky. Great pub grub and beer though!
