Busier than ever...
I thought I should write a quick update as it has been a while since I last wrote on the blog and didn't want you all worrying...! I've actually been trying to get Dan to write the next post but rather than leave the blog empty for weeks on end I can't resist but to give a quick update.
So. Things have been incredibly busy. Both of us are working harder than ever and are both taking a ride on a bit of a rollercoaster as far as settling in to work goes. It has been really tough at times and facing challenges at work on top of settling into a new way of life has needed a lot of stamina, patience and determination. Still, we're both learning so much and are getting brilliant experience so it is all worth it.
Our land purchase is still going through and settlement is hoped for November or December which means we can then build on it! We have found a house design we like (love) and we are starting the ball rolling on that. Our anticipated timeline is a year, so hopefully by next Christmas we will be in our new country abode!
Dan's folks arrive in about 10 days and we are really looking forward to having them to stay. It has been a crazy few weeks buying furniture on ebay (I didn't realise quite how house proud I was until now) but it will be lovely to have people visit to see where we are living and experience the way of life. I hope that their visit will help us to put things back into perspective and address our work life balance again (ie. we need more life and less work!). Exciting!
Anyway, enough for now. The next post WILL be written by Dan...
