One Year in Adelaide!
Time feels to have flown so quickly and it's hard to believe we've been here a year this week. At the same time however, I feel like we've been here forever!
In true Becks style I've been compelled to put together a cheesy slideshow with even cheesier music (Dan really isn't happy with my choice of music, particularly track 2). I hope you enjoy. I particularly hope the slideshow inspires those in the UK waiting for visas - we still remember this agonising process and how these little snippets of info or photographs are a real boost to your motivation. Hang in there!
Rather than write emotional blurb on this momentous occasion, here are our top 10's...
Top 10 moments (in no specific order!) -
1) Finding our land and choosing our house design
2) Seeing the new year in on Semaphore beach - a hot hot night!
3) Winemaking with Dave Lehmann in the Barossa Valley
4) Taryn & Marks wedding in Venus Bay on the Eyre Peninsula
5) Dan being the Australian Rugby team mascot, Wally the Wallaby
6) Visiting Seal Bay on Kangaroo Island with Dan's folks
7) Camping under Koala's at Cape Otway with Becks' folks
8) Getting our rental house in Semaphore - 146 metres to the beach
9) Making some lovely friends
10)Every weekend - sunshine, barbecues and amazing food and wine!
Bottom moments (we can only think of 3!)
1) Charlene (our trusted Toyota Corona) getting stolen, raped and pillaged - but actually this turned into a positive as we bought Harry the Holden!
2) Becks resigning from her first job - but this turned out positive as she met some lovely people who have remained friends and is now happy at work!
3) Dan getting done for speeding 3 times - 60km per hour is hard to get used to!
